Brain and the Cerebral Cortex Develpment

Illustration Description

These illustrations were created for a book called ‘The Human Brain’ which is an educational book where you colour in the illustrations as an aid to learning anatomy. The formation of the cortex was illustrated starting with the appearance of the neural plate at around 18 days of gestation. Two days later, one can distinguish the three major divisions of the brain.
