This illustration is showing the lymph node anatomy on a female background. It was created for a specific use within a patient consent form and it needed to not only show the lymph node anatomy under the arm but also indication of where a surgeon would place the surgical incision at the start of the surgery. The purpose that a patient would be shown this illustration at the start of the surgery so that they could be fully informed as to the process involved.
