Illustration Description
Pigeon peas was created for part of my PhD project I am undertaking. I needed to illustrate a pea plant that was grown in Ghana. This is an interesting crop because it is since its domestication in the Indian subcontinent at least 3,500 years ago, its seeds have become a common food in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and more recently Ghana in Africa.
